Meet Amy and Meghan

  • Amy Detjen

    Amy has been a public school psychologist for 22 years with experience specific to early childhood and elementary ages. While holding degrees in psychology (BA), educational psychology (MS), and school psychology (Ed.S.), Amy credits the true depth of her professional skillset to the families and children she has interacted with over 20 years. In 2023, Amy was awarded School Psychologist of the Year in Kentucky for her work and advocacy on behalf of children with disabilities in the public schools. Amy lives in Lexington, KY with her husband, three teenagers, and three cats. When not home or working, Amy can almost always be found on a pickleball court.

  • Meghan Borough

    Meghan has been a child guidance specialist for nearly 15 years in the public school setting and holds degrees in psychology (BS) and educational school counseling (M.Ed). Her professional role centers around collaborating with students, families and teachers to develop research-based plans to meet the social-emotional and behavioral needs of students in the school setting. Meghan creates, implements and tracks the success and progress of these individualized behavior plans with a goal of increasing a student's success at home and at school. She has also held leadership roles and conducted educational trainings on positive behavior interventions and supports and led social-emotional learning geared towards elementary aged children. Meghan lives in Lexington with her husband and two daughters and can usually be found on a local soccer field or golf course.
